Peec AI vs Listo for Hospitality: An Honest Guide to Choosing
If you run an agency and your clients have started asking how they show up in ChatGPT, you have probably already met Peec AI. Deservedly so: it is one of Europe's fastest-growing GEO platforms, it is well built, and a lot of agencies like it. So when the client book includes hotels, the question comes up naturally: Peec or Listo?
Full disclosure before anything else: we built Listo, one of the two tools in this comparison. So we have tried to do this the honest way, by being clear about what Peec is genuinely better at, and letting the differences speak for themselves. The short version: Peec is the stronger choice for a multi-sector agency that wants one visibility tracker across every kind of client. Listo is the stronger choice when the clients are hotels, because hospitality plays by different rules, and because tracking is only part of what hotels need to win on AI search. If you want the wider field, we compare the main GEO tools for hospitality here.
What Peec AI is genuinely good at
Peec, founded in Berlin in early 2025, has become the reference horizontal GEO tracker in Europe, reporting over a thousand brands and agencies on the platform. What it does, it does well:
- Daily prompt tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, with three clean metrics per prompt: visibility (how often you appear), position (where you rank when you do) and sentiment.
- Serious language and region coverage, with tracking in well over a hundred languages.
- Agency-grade packaging. Dedicated agency plans on a credit system (one prompt, on one model, on one day, is one credit), with unlimited users and a shared credit pool you allocate across client projects. Higher tiers add API access and white-label reporting.
- A polished ecosystem: source dashboards, competitor benchmarking, a Looker Studio connector, CSV export, an agency directory and co-marketing.
If your agency looks after a dentist chain, a SaaS company and two hotels, and you want one tracker over all of them, Peec is a very sensible choice, and this is where we would honestly point you towards it.
Where hospitality changes the rules
The catch is that GEO knowledge does not transfer cleanly across sectors, and we know because we run the research. Across roughly 1,500 hotel conversations and 9,300 traced citations on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini:
The B2B playbook fails in travel. In software, third-party "best tools" listicles decide AI recommendations. In our hotel data, only about 3% of the pages that won a recommendation were round-ups. The assistants leaned instead on hotels' own websites and destination editorial.
Each assistant is a different machine. ChatGPT cited hotels' own sites around 65% of the time; Gemini went to editorial media for nearly 58% of its citations; Claude sat in between. The lever to pull is different per platform.
Language rewrites the answer. The same hotel question in Spanish, English and French returned lists overlapping as little as 40%, with the cited publishers localising to each language. Winning "hotels in Barcelona" in French means being present on a specific set of French-language publishers.
Specific queries go direct. Once a traveller names an amenity, ChatGPT's citations of the hotel's own site jump from around 11% to roughly 87%. The high-intent, closest-to-booking queries are decided on the hotel's own pages.
A horizontal tracker will tell you, accurately, whether Hotel X was mentioned yesterday. What it is not built to tell you is any of the above: which travel publishers matter in which language, which pages on the hotel's site are losing the specific queries, or what to change this week. That knowledge is the vertical depth, and it is the difference between reporting on the problem and charging a retainer to solve it. (We published the full studies: how AI recommends hotels and how prompt language changes the answer.)
What Listo does that a tracker doesn't
Listo covers the tracking too: visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, by platform, region and language, benchmarked against each hotel's competitive set and built around travel prompts rather than brand mentions. But tracking is the entry point, not the product. The other two thirds:
Content optimisation, done for you. Listo audits each hotel's full digital presence and produces a prioritised content and structure roadmap for that property, grounded in the travel data above. Not "add schema" as a generic tip, but which pages, which markup, which content, for which queries, in which languages.
The booking layer. Listo builds an MCP layer on the hotel's existing booking engine and PMS, so an AI assistant can check live availability, quote real rates and complete the reservation inside the conversation. No visibility tracker, horizontal or otherwise, touches this. And it is where the specific, amenity-level, own-site queries above are heading: the recommendation is the start of the funnel, the booking is the end, and hotels want the same partner on both.
To put the difference in one line: Peec tells your team the score. Listo tells them what to do this week to raise it, and lets the assistant take the booking once it works.
When to choose which
Choose Peec if: your client book spans many sectors and you want one consistent tracker across all of it; you have in-house GEO expertise and mainly need the measurement layer; or you want the broadest possible language coverage in a single horizontal tool.
Choose Listo if: hotels and hospitality businesses are a meaningful part of your book; you want to sell delivery, not just reporting, with per-client roadmaps generated for you; or you want bookability in the pitch, which today is a story only a hospitality-native platform can tell.
Using both is not absurd, and some agencies will: Peec across the general book, Listo on the hotel portfolio. If budget forces a choice for hotel clients, our obviously interested but data-backed view is that vertical depth wins, because in travel the generic playbook measurably does not apply.

FAQ
Is Listo just "Peec for hotels"?
No, and that framing undersells both. Peec is a measurement platform. Listo is measurement plus a content-optimisation engine plus a booking layer, which only makes sense to build inside one vertical. The vertical focus is what makes the second and third parts possible.
We already have Peec and our hotel clients are happy. Should we move?
If the tracking is doing its job, there is no urgency on that front. The question to ask is what happens after the report: who turns the numbers into the fixes, and who answers when a client asks to be bookable in ChatGPT. If the answer is "us, manually" or "nobody", that is the gap Listo fills.
Does Listo track fewer platforms than Peec?
We cover the four assistants that decide hotel discovery today: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Peec covers additional engines, which matters more in sectors where those engines carry buying decisions.
Who is more expensive?
It depends on portfolio shape. Peec prices by credits across your whole book; Listo prices per property. For a hotel-heavy portfolio the numbers usually land in the same range, with the difference being what is included on top of tracking. Book a demo and we will price your specific portfolio.
